This C. hubbelli tooth has medium to small serrations at the base of the cutting edge that disappear towards the tip. The Glyptotherium  was an oversized armadillo with a thick shell that was a close relative to the Glyptodon. It evolved in the early Pliocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene in North America.
