A RARE, Top Quality Saurornitholestes sp. (raptor) tooth from New Mexico. Saurornitholestes is a close relative of Velociraptor. This tooth is 1/4" which is a typical size. The enamel is excellent with a great tan color. This species is known for large posterior serrations that will turn upwards. Excellent posterior (distal) and very good (top 2/3) anterior (mesial) serrations. No repair or restoration. This is a late Campanian age tooth (approx. 76 MYA). An ultra rare, 5-5/8" GEM, Deep Red North Carolina Carcharocles megalodon, an upper jaw Principal Anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. This incredibly rare tooth is our February Fossil of the Month. NC001 has an incredible deep red colored crown. The finest color from the copper red site! The enamel is the highest quality. The serrations are essentially prefect with a needle-like tip serration. The root is perfect. Definitely a Miocene Meg with "root ears" and serration bumps at base. Note - you rarely see a copper-red Megalodon shark tooth that has a top quality crown, root and serrations - a top .1% tooth from this site! A well preserved Glyptotherium scute from the ACE Basin, So. Carolina. The Glyptotherium  was an oversized armadillo with a thick shell that was a close relative to the Glyptodon. It evolved in the early Pliocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene in North America. This is a scute is complete with some wear. Well fossilized. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.
