A well preserved, ultra rare Scyphocrinites elegans crinoid holdfast from Morocco. The Scyphocrinites crinoids were floating crinoids and their holdfast was actually an air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx. This holdfast is bulbous with a great amount of detail. These crinoids make fantastic display pieces. An excellent rare holdfast specimen. An ultra rare, TOP QUALITY Spheniscus megaramphus , Penguin skull from the Bahia Iglesa Fm. of central Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. An excellent, large skull and beak. A LARGE Auriculatus tooth. Anterior tooth. Enamel quality is good with an extra large bourlette. Serrations are sharp. The tip area was broke during feeding and is worn smooth. This shark was eating some tough whales as well. A massive root. Typical commercial grade tooth.
