A very rare, Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark tooth, from Herrin, Illinois. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation, serrations, and serration detail. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed.

A Top Quality upper jaw Notorhynchus tooth - a Sevengill Cow shark, from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - this is an upper lateral tooth five main cusps. I rarely see this tooth position. This tooth has a rich blue & tan crown with a tan root. Incredible color and preservation. A rare LARGE, Otodus obliquus vertebra with very nice color from the Khouribga phosphate mining area of Morocco. Exceptional concentric growth rings well preserved as well as the pair of ventral foramina openings along the side. Very thick at 1-1/16". Centra faces are very clean and edge structure is very well preserved and clean. Eocene age. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. Exceptional quality. You don't see the large Otodus vertebra any more!

An EXCELLENT I. desori, the Narrow-tooth Mako - anterior tooth. Very nice golden tan color with excellent gloss. The root shows incredible detail. Absolutely great preservation and condition - extra sharp edges and tip. These are Miocene age teeth from the Pungo River Fm. Fantastic collector's teeth. Near Museum quality.
