A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". A rare associated set of 15 Ptychodus mortoni teeth - upper jaw from gove Co., Kansas. Nicely articulated crowns. Very good preservation with white mineralization covering most teeth. Set includes: 2 x A1 anteriors, 6 x A2 anteriors, 3 x A3 anteriors, 1 x L1 lateral, 2 x L2 laterals, and 1 x L3 lateral. This C. hubbelli tooth has small serrations at the base of the cutting edge that disappear towards the tip. This tooth has an excellent tan colored crown and tan root. Fantastic color! A Top Quality, Megalodon tooth - a lower jaw tooth from the ACE River basin, South Carolina. An excellent Golden Tan & Black colored crown.
