A rare, Top Quality ~5" CLASSIC Chile Megalodon tooth from the sand layer, Bahia Inglesa Fm., Caldera area, Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. An excellent light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. Good quality enamel. The bourlette has a nice mahogany brown color and is 100% complete. The serrations are sharp with some damage. The root is excellent tan color and extra wide with a small sliver of damage on the side of the root. Good "eye appeal". Great symmetry. No repair or restoration. A GEM, 6" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our March 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light golden tan colored crown with an exceptional white bourlette and mostly complete. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional golden tan color! The bourlette is huge and near perfect. The serrations are razor sharp with an exceptional tip serration. Nearly PERFECT serrations (2-3 serrations damaged near the base  - all serrations are razor sharp. Exceptional serrations for a really big Meg! The root is an excellent white color with few no hydration cracks and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). The finest example of a 6" classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth that I have seen considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's XXL LC tooth from the old days at Lee Creek mine! Museum Quality Megalodon. You rarely see a GEM or any 6" Lee Creek Megalodon teeth offered for sale.
