The North Carolina Fossil Club provides an excellent guide to the Cretaceous - Eocene - Paleocene - Oligocene shark teeth from North Carolina. My recommendation for the collector's first reference guide to identify their Cretaceous - Paleocene - Eocene collection pieces. 

BB09              Size:  5-1/2" x 8-1/2"

A LARGE Auriculatus tooth. Anterior tooth. Enamel quality is good with an extra large bourlette. Serrations are sharp. The tip area was broke during feeding and is worn smooth. This shark was eating some tough whales as well. A massive root. Typical commercial grade tooth.

A Top Quality Alethopteris sp. - fossil fern display piece from St. Clair, Pennsylvania. A December Fossil of the Month. Alethopteris is an extinct genus of primitive seed fern that evolved during the Pennsylvanian Period. This specimen is well preserved with white colored ferns on a near black colored shale matrix. This white coating is a characteristic of the mineral pyrophyllite. The St. Clair area is known for their white ferns on black matrix. Pennsylvanian age. (300 mya). It weighs 16.8 pounds. An incredibly sized, Top Quality Great White shark transition tooth (Carcharodon hubbelli) from Chile. An August 2019 Fossil of the Month. This ULTRA RARE, MONSTER sized Great White tooth measures 2-15/16" - a huge upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. This tooth is an ultra rare Carcharodon hubbelli with small serrations at the base of the cutting edge that disappear towards the tip. High quality enamel! Excellent color. Incredible large "gum line" and a wide root .This was a big shark. Exceptional preservation - note the preserved nutrient hole on the root. Absolutely no repair or restoration. An ultra rare BIG Chilean Great White transition tooth. A LARGE, MUSEUM QUALITY Rhynchodercetis aff. yovanovitchi fish. This Rhynchodercetis aff. yovanovitchi, a Needle fish, is 4-3/8"+ in length. There is also another unidentified fossil fish (1-1/2"). Incredible detail. Excellent preservation and incredible preparation. This is a Cretaceous specimen from Taouz, Morocco. Rare specimen! A top quality collector's piece.
