"The Color Collection - North of the River"  An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY, upper jaw anterior Isurus planus tooth from the Sharktooth Hill area, California. This tooth is displayed on its original Round Mountain silt matrix along with a 5-1/4" whale bone. Beautiful blue crown with an excellent brown colored root. Excellent preservation. An EXTRA LARGE Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 3-1/4" - a BIGTyrannosaur tooth. A maxillary tooth. The enamel is good with good color. Anterior and posterior serrations are weak. Two cracks. Root etching. No restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Winifred Co., Montana. Authenticity guaranteed. An EXTRA LARGE collector's tooth. You don't see XXL Campanian Tyrannosaur teeth very often. An Ultra Rare, Top Quality 4-3/4" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A March 2021 Fossil of the Month. This tooth is still embedded in its original Round Mountain silt matrix block with a large whale bone. The whale bone is 7" long and 1.5" wide. Highest quality enamel with an excellent tan color. The bourlette is a tan color and 85% complete. The serrations are extra large and 100% complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. Also note the grooves on the root ends - a Miocene trait. This is a middle Miocene Meg - very unique! Note - This is a 100% natural matrix block with nothing added or glued. No repair or restoration other the very tip. You will not see these middle Miocene Sharktooth Hill Megs from Bakersfield, California very often. Authenticity guaranteed. Museum Quality. An exceptional collector piece that came out of a 25 year old old collection! A fantastic display from an old Ernst quarry site. My last matrix piece - a Last Supper scene!
