Wyoming. The Diplomystus dentatus is a Herring from the Eocene age (50 MYA). An October Fossil of the Month. This piece is from the 18 Inch Layer which is extremely hard and difficult to prepare. A Top Quality, Pathologic Bone Valley Mako shark tooth from Polk County, Florida with great color! Commonly referred to as Isurus hastalis, but renamed to Carcharodon hastalis as a Great White shark ancestor. This tooth shows a wavy cutting edge and an extra cutting edge formed on the the display side of crown (see 3rd photo).  Highest quality enamel. An excellent colored crown. Excellent color! A rare Top Quality, transition GW tooth, Carcharodon hubbelli. An upper jaw anterior tooth. The C. hubbelli serrations are full at the base of the cutting edge, transition to fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. This tooth has an excellent tan colored crown and brown root with well pronounced maroon colored gum line. Excellent color. The crown edge starts with two oversized serrations at the base and quickly transforms into "Escheri-like" wavy serrations. An early stage transition form. No repair. Authenticity guaranteed. An exceptional GW transition form!  It will be extremely difficult to locate Carcharodon hubbelli since there is no new supply.
