A VERY RARE rooted, High QualityTyrannosaurus rex tooth. This is an excellent rooted juvenile T-Rex rear tooth. Total length is is 2-1/4", the crown measures 3/4" and is thick 11/16". The rooted T-Rex  teeth are very rare. The enamel is good quality with some peeling. Fair anterior and posterior serrations with some wear. No cracks. T-Rex was the apex during the late Cretaceous with massive teeth capable of crushing its prey. See the detailed description to determine how to tell a real T-Rex tooth! A GEM 5-1/4" BLACK over GRAY colored Megalodon tooth - an upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. This exceptional Meg tooth is our September 2017 Fossil of the Month. The incredible black over gray crown shows on the display and reverse sides. The serrations are razor sharp including the tip. Excellent for a big Megalodon! A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich tan & blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.
