A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich  blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A perfect "Pungo" hastalis tooth.

A HIGH QUALITY, LARGE Megalodon tooth from West Java, Indonesia. This Megalodon has an incredible light tan colored crown with a light tan bourlette. Highest quality enamel. Great color! The serrations are razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. Unfortunately, there is root minor erosion which happens with these West Java Megs. No repair or restoration. An ultra rare, LARGE Top Quality Alopias palatasi shark tooth, the extinct serrated Giant Thresher, from the Nottoway River, Virginia. A January Fossil of the Month. This is a Virginia Red Site tooth with excellent copper-red color. Excellent preservation and condition. Perfect serrations. A Miocene tooth.
