An incredible, LARGE polished Goniatites sp., an early ammonite-like cephalopod showing the intricate internal chamber structure. The rock matrix is a beautiful marble material and the cavities are mineral filled! These Goniatites are beautifully polished on all sides. Thick (1-1/8"). A LARGE Auriculatus tooth. Lateral tooth. Fair quality enamel. Serrations are sharp. The tip area was broke during feeding and is worn smooth. This shark was eating some tough whales as well. Slightly water worn. Typical commercial grade tooth.
