This tooth has a rich tan crown and a brown colored root. Excellent colors!  Sharp cutting edge. The rear top of root has a "shoulder" build up, a characteristic of Isurus retroflexus. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed. A difficult tooth to source.

A rare, LARGE rooted Top Quality Prognathodon anceps tooth with a jaw section from the phosphate mining region, Khouribga, Morocco. P. anceps is the largest mosasaur species known with huge with wide teeth used for crushing prey.  Exceptional condition and preservation. Note - this large Moroccan Mosasaur was renamed to a Prognathodon genus. The crown measures 2-1/2". Wide base and root. One crack.
