A very rare, High Quality Otodus auriculatus, an early Giant White shark, tooth from the phosphate mines of Hahotoe, Togo. Very good color and preservation. This tooth is Lutetian age (45 MYA), lower middle Eocene. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. An extremely rare Auricularus tooth. I have only seen five of them.

An Ultra Rare, Top Quality 4-3/4" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. A March 2021 Fossil of the Month. This tooth is still embedded in its original Round Mountain silt matrix block with a large whale bone. The whale bone is 7" long and 1.5" wide. Highest quality enamel with an excellent tan color. The bourlette is a tan color and 85% complete. The serrations are extra large and 100% complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. Also note the grooves on the root ends - a Miocene trait. This is a middle Miocene Meg - very unique! Note - This is a 100% natural matrix block with nothing added or glued. No repair or restoration other the very tip. An EXTRA LARGE, ultra rare, GEM Trigonotodus serratus shark tooth, the extinct serrated Giant Thresher from southern Virginia. Another January 2018 Fossil of the Month offering. A HUGE, Top Quality Ptychodus mammillaris, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Kamp Ranch Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with strong transverse ridges across the cusp that transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - one margin has a natural crack which contains matrix within it and the root structure is missing. This is a rare species and a suer rare size - this specimen exceeds the maximum size recorded for Texas!
