This three tooth set includes upper jaw anterior teeth from Carcharodon hastalis, Carcharodon hubbelli and Carcharodon carcharias. The C. hubbelli tooth has small serrations at the base of the cutting edge, transition to very fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. No repair or restoration. A top quality, large Phareodus fish. The Phareodus encaustus is a Osteoglossidae fish from the Eocene age (50 MYA) fish, Green River Fm., Lincoln Co. Wyoming. The Phareodus was a carnivorous fish with large pointed teeth and a long pectoral fin. This piece is from the Split Fish Layer and shows fantastic detail. Excellent preservation and preparation.
