An ultra rare, Top Quality EXTRA LARGE Parotodus benedeni lateral tooth with a massive root from the St. Mary's River, Georgia. A Miocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. A November Fossil of the Month. An incredible red colored tooth! Highest quality enamel with sharp edges and tip. Root is massive, complete, nicely articulated, and has a small hydration crack. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. A very difficult tooth to locate from a loction that produces few Parotodus teeth. A Top Quality Coloborhynchus moroccensis tooth, a Cretaceous pterosaur, from the Kem Kem deposits of SE Morocco. Very well preserved.  Nicely articulated. These teeth are early late Cretaceous age (Cenomanian). Great red color. A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich tan & blue crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root.
