A Top Quality Allodesmus kernensis, primitive sea lion, jaw section with three teeth from the Sharktooth Hill area, near Bakersfield, California. An October Fossil of the Month. The "Flying" Top Quality Crotalocephalina gibbus trilobite. A January Fossil of the Month. The preparation is German directed with all original colors and no restoration. A top quality, large Phareodus fish. The Phareodus encaustus is a Osteoglossidae fish from the Eocene age (50 MYA) fish, Green River Fm., Lincoln Co. Wyoming. The Phareodus was a carnivorous fish with large pointed teeth and a long pectoral fin. This piece is from the Split Fish Layer and shows fantastic detail. Excellent preservation and preparation.
