An ULTRA RARE,  Top Quality 6-1/8" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth, an upper jaw PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth from Aurora, No. Carolina. A July Fossil of the Month selection. This Megalodon tooth has an incredible light tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette. Highest quality enamel with essentially no hydration cracks - rare for a big Meg tooth! Exceptional color. The serrations are large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. Fantastic serrations for a BIG Meg! The root is exceptional - an excellent tan color, no hydration cracks, extra wide and absolutely complete. The finest root that I have seen on a BIG Megalodon tooth. This Megalodon was found in the Yorktown Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Pliocene age = 5 MYA). Rarely do you see a 6" Lee Creek Megalodon tooth and rarely are they high quality. This tooth is from an old collection. One of the finest examples of a 6"+ classic upper jaw anterior Lee Creek Megs considering the shape, color, and preservation. An exceptional collector's tooth from the "old days" at Lee Creek mine. This is a rare opportunity to own a 6"+ LC Megalodon tooth! NO repair or restoration. A Top Quality Tyrannosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous (Campanian) in northern North America. Please note that this tooth could Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus - see Detailed Discussion below. This tooth measures 1-13/16" - an excellent Tyrannosaur tooth. The enamel is high quality with excellent color. Anterior and posterior serrations are excellent. Serrated to the tip with an excellent unworn tip. No crack, repair or restoration. Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana. Probably an excellent Gorgosaurus or Daspletosaurus tooth based on size and roundness of the tooth cross-section. Authenticity guaranteed. An excellent collector's tooth. A Riker display frame is included.
