A GEM, EXTRA LARGE, rare Pinus sp. pine cone specimen from Germany.  This pine cone is fully inflated. Fantastic preservation. One of the finest specimens that I have seen from the German site. An incredibly preserved, LARGE Woolly Mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius), an early elephant, molar found in Alaska. An October Fossil of the Month. Mammoths were present in this area during the Late Pleistocene Ice Age. Fantastic natural red color!  This molar has a nicely articulated chewing surface. A complete root - very rare.
