An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Struthiomimus altus toe bone from the late Cretaceous of North America. An August Fossil of the Month. Struthiomimus is a long legged, bipedal, toothless dinosaur found in the Hell Creek formation. The Struthiomimus means "ostrich mimic" which best describes this species. Exceptional bone quality and color. This toe bone is complete with excellent bone preservation. No repair or restoration. A very rare EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Torvosaurus tanneri  tooth from the Morrison Fm. A January Fossil of the Month. This Torvosaurus crown measures 2" and is 1-1/4" wide. The tooth measures 3-1/4" with the partial root. This is a BIG Torvosaurus tooth big serrations on both carinae (1.5 ser. per mm) and the mesial carina extends less than 1/2 of the crown. The enamel is high quality. Great rich dark brown color. Excellent anterior and posterior serrations. Minor natural crushing on the left bottom is stabilized. Excellent overall condition. There is minor restoration at the high point of the base of the crown.. Torvosaurus was the apex predator during the late Jurassic with large teeth designed to slash predators. Legally collected on private land in the Morrison Fm., Bone Cabin Quarry, Albany Co., Wyoming. Authenticity guaranteed.  Note - A Riker display frame is included. A very rare, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex  tooth. This first maxillary tooth measures 2-1/4". The enamel has excellent color and patina. Worn anterior and excellent posterior serrations. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes. These spikes and nodes were part of the skull. This spike has excellent color / patina. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. The October 2015 Week #4 Fossil of the Month is a LARGE, GEM Megalodon PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR upper jaw tooth from the Bolan Hall Creek, Jasper Co., So. Carolina. A gorgeous symmetrical Meg with a greenish - tan crown. High quality enamel. The brown bourlette is incredible, very glossy, anbd essentially complete.
