The December week #3 Fossil of the Month is an ultra rare, HIGH QUALITY Carcharocles megalodon - upper jaw anterior tooth from Morocco. It has an exceptional tan colored crown with an excellent brown bourlette - 90% complete. High quality enamel with small hydration cracks. Sharp serrations with a rounded tip serration. The root is orange and nicely articulated with essentially no hydration cracks. Note - you rarely see a Moroccan Meg that has a high quality crown, bourlette, root and, serrations - a top 1% tooth from this site! An EXTRA LARGE TOP QUALITY, very rare Basilosaurus cetoides, an Archaeocete whale tooth found in the Suwanee River, Suwanee Co., Florida. An excellent canine tooth (see photo for tooth positions). A July Fossil of the Month. An excellent brown colored crown and root. Nicely articulated. Note - enamel tip shows a wear pattern on crown. Whales do not shed their teeth like the sharks so there teeth will wear with age. An Eocene age tooth (35 MYA).  No repair or restoration. A great Archaeocete tooth from the Suwanee River, Florida.  A very rare collector's tooth from an old collection.  A massive canine tooth!

An ultra rare, GEM Quality Torvosaurus tanneri tooth from the Morrison Formation. A September Fossil of the Month. This completeTorvosaurus crown measures 1-516". The enamel is highest quality. Excellent rich black color. Exceptional posterior and anterior serrations. Note - the anterior carina end about 1/2 of the way down from the tip. The diagnostic for a Torvosaurus tooth. Fantastic overall enamel condition and serrations. No repair or restoration. Torvosaurus was a large predator during the late Jurassic with large teeth designed to slash predators.
