A TOP QUALITY very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Lateral tooth. The crown has extremely sharp cutting edges. Excellent blue color with a gray root and bourlette. The root is ~1/4" thick and shows no hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (Miocene age). An EXTRA LARGE, very rare, Top Quality Parotodus benedeni  tooth with a massive root from Summerville., So. Carolina. A Miocene-Pliocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm. Nice Light Tan color.
