A rare, incredibly preserved LARGE Asterocidaris bistriata, a fossil club echinoid (urchin). The specimen is fully inflated, nicely articulated, and complete with long spines - a very aesthetic display. These “Club” echinoids on matrix include some composite spines/radioles from their species. This fantastic echinoid is middle Jurassic period from from Boulemane, Middle Atlas Mts., Morocco. A Top Quality Ptychodus polygyrus, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Kamp Ranch Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with 8 to 9 fine transverse ridges extending across the cusp face and transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Near perfect tooth - root not complete. This is a rare species.
