A HUGE, Top Quality Ptychodus mammillaris, an extinct durophagous (shell-crushing) shark, tooth from Dallas Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Upper Cretaceous Kamp Ranch Fm. tooth. These massive teeth have a design with strong transverse ridges across the cusp that transition to a concentric pattern at the base of the cusp. Authenticity guaranteed. Note - one margin has a natural crack which contains matrix within it and the root structure is missing. This is a rare species and a suer rare size - this specimen exceeds the maximum size recorded for Texas!

A LARGE, Top Quality Great White shark tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from Western Cape Province, So. Africa. This tooth has a blue colored crown, a large distinct brown gum line, and a brown root. Excellent color! Highest quality enamel with no hydration cracks. Serrations are large and complete with an excellent tip serration. There are also the base seration on each side are pathologic - very cool. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. No repair or restoration. A Top Quality Machaeroprosopus (phytosaur) vertebra. Machaeroprosopus is an extinct genus of mystriosuchin leptosuchomorph phytosaur from the Late Triassic of the southwestern United States. The genus was previously refered to as Pseudopalatus. The vertebra bone quality is excellent with great color and patina. Minor crack fill. No restoration. An ultra rare, 5-5/8" GEM, Deep Red North Carolina Carcharocles megalodon, an upper jaw Principal Anterior tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. This incredibly rare tooth is our February Fossil of the Month.
