A rare, Top Quality Suwanee Auriculatus tooth from the Suwanee River, northern Florida. An exceptional upper jaw anterior tooth. Gorgeous golden tan colored crown with a brown colored bourlette, and brown root. Highest quality enamel. Excellent color & preservation with great river polish. The serrations are large and sharp with a worn tip serration. The root is complete. The PERFECT, very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth. An April 2019 Fossil of the Month. Lateral tooth. The crown has extremely sharp cutting edges. Exceptional light tan & blue color and preservation. An incredible wide bourlette. The root is ~5/8" thick and shows few small hydration cracks! Note- grooves on the sides of the root lobes - a Miocene tooth trait. One of the finest LC lateral Parotodus teeth that I have seen. This incredible Parotodus was found in the Pungo River Formation (Miocene age). An exceptionally preserved, fossil Ice Age dog (Canis familiaris) jaw with four teeth from southern Germany. These dogs were domesticated from the wolves by man for hunting and were found around paleolithic hunting encampments. They lived around the mountain caves from central Europe to Russia during the Ice Age.
