A LARGE Chubutensis - upper jaw tooth on its original sandstone matrix. Gorgeous variegated brown, tan & gray colored enamel with no peel. Incredible color! Good side cusps.  Extra sharp serrations are incredible. The bourlette is a brown color and essentially complete. The root is excellent red brown color, nicely articulated, and complete with essentially no hydration cracks. Matrix size is 3" x 2-3/4". No repair. An excellent, extra large Peruvian Chub tooth!

A TOP QUALITY very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Lateral tooth. The crown has extremely sharp cutting edges. Excellent blue color with a gray root and bourlette. The root is ~1/4" thick and shows no hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Pungo River Formation (Miocene age).
