The my last July 2017 Fossil of the Month is a GEM 4-11/16" Megalodon - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. Fantastic colors - gray enamel and a jet black bourlette. Highest quality enamel - glass-like surface. The finest enamel preservation - very rare! An exceptional black bourlette - near complete. Razor sharp serrations including an exceptional tip serration. Serrations are just about perfect. The root is incredible - a medium brown, nicely articulated, and complete with very small hydration cracks on the display side. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Abelisaurid dinosaur tooth from the Cretaceous Kem Kem deposits of Morocco.  A December Fossil of the Month. Once thought to be a "raptor" tooth, these teeth are an Abelisaurid, a family of Ceratosaurian theropod dinosaurs with the unique straight posterior carina. This tooth is likely from the larger Abelisaurid species present in the Kem Kem. They were the dominate smaller theropod in the late Cretaceous Kem Kem deposit. Excellent red color and serrations.
