A very rare, High Quality Otodus auriculatus, an early Giant White shark, tooth from the phosphate mines of Hahotoe, Togo. Very good color and preservation. This tooth is Lutetian age (45 MYA), lower middle Eocene. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. An extremely rare Auricularus tooth. I have only seen five of them.

M014P         SIZE: 1-11/16"

A very rare, early Otodus aksuaticus lateral tooth from Kzil-Orda, Kazakhstan. A transitional tooth leading to O. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. A July Fossil of the Month. The bourlette is complete. This tooth exhibits small serrations along the lower 1/2 of the crown and micro serrations to the tip. These teeth exhibit excellent color, gloss, and preservation. A rare, early (Ypresian) Eocene Auriculatus transition tooth.  A very challenging tooth to find when building a Megalodon evolutionary set! No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. This western Kazakhstan site is one of the few places in the world where the Otodus obliquus to Otodus auriculatus transition can be found in adjacent geologic layers.

A TOP QUALITY Megalonyx leptostomus sloth claw from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths and our December 2017 Fossil of the Month. This claw has excellent preservation and shows little water wear. It's complete down to a nice tip with absolutely no restoration or repair. Excellent preservation of the proximal end. There is a little eriosion on the top of the claw. A wonderful Late Pliocene - Early Pleistocene display piece from northern Florida. Authenticity guaranteed. One of my favorites!

A well preserved extinct Giant Capybara molar from Edisto River, So. Carolina.  The Giant Capybara was an oversized rodent that evolved in the Pleistocene and became extinct at the end of the Pleistocene in North America. A LARGE, TOP QUALITY Eremotherium laurillardoi sloth tooth from an extinct genus of giant ground sloths from Georgia. This sloth is part the family of largest ground sloths and their teeth are described as "brick-like". The Norh American cousin to Megatherium.  This tooth has excellent preservation and shows little water wear. It's complete with absolutely no restoration or repair.
