They are large vascular plants which is related to todays club mosses. This specimen is well preserved with dimple-like depressions covering the outer surface. Pennsylvanian age. (300 mya). An ULTRA RARE, Top Quality, rare lower jaw tooth from Hexanchus sp. from Nye Mudstone, Oregon. A February Fossil of the Month. Excellent brown color. Ten perfect primary cusps. A LARGE, very rare, Parotodus benedeni lateral tooth with a massive root from So. Carolina. A Miocene age tooth from the Hawthorne Fm.
