A rare, Top Quality ~5" CLASSIC Chile Megalodon tooth from the sand layer, Bahia Inglesa Fm., Caldera area, Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. An excellent light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. Good quality enamel. The bourlette has a nice mahogany brown color and is 100% complete. The serrations are sharp with some damage. The root is excellent tan color and extra wide with a small sliver of damage on the side of the root. Good "eye appeal". Great symmetry. No repair or restoration. A rare Chilean Megalodon tooth from the old days! An EXTRA LARGE Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (lower anterior jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth exhibits the classic characteristic shape of the middle Miocene Mako teeth found both in the Lee Creek mine and the NC red site. I do not see this Mako tooth shape from other Miocene deposits. Possibly a hastalis species variation and it is referred to as the "narrow form". Maximum size is approximately 2". This tooth has a rich blue & tan crown and a tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Miocene tooth from the Pungo River Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. Authenticity guaranteed.

An incredible, LARGE polished Goniatites sp., an early ammonite-like cephalopod showing the intricate internal chamber structure. The rock matrix is a beautiful marble material and the cavities are mineral filled! These Goniatites are beautifully polished on all sides. Thick (1-1/8"). This is a great early Ammonite. An excellent display item!

A very rare, early Otodus aksuaticus anterior tooth from Kzil-Orda, Kazakhstan. A transitional tooth leading to O. auriculatus (see detailed discussion below) which leads to Megalodon. The bourlette is complete. This tooth exhibits small serrations along the lower 1/2 of the crown and micro serrations to the tip. These teeth exhibit excellent color, gloss, and preservation. A rare, early (Ypresian) Eocene Auriculatus transition tooth.  A very challenging tooth to find when building a Megalodon evolutionary set! No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. This western Kazakhstan site is one of the few places in the world where the Otodus obliquus to Otodus auriculatus transition can be found in adjacent geologic layers.
