An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Paronychodon lacustris tooth from Montana. A theropod from the Troodonidae family. These teeth are recurved, flat, with strong longitudinal grooves running the length of the crown. They are non-serrate and may be related to Richardoestesia (see below). No cracks. An ultra rare Alopias palatasi shark tooth, the extinct serrated Giant Thresher, from Calvert Cliffs, Maryland. An August 2020 Fossil of the Month offering. Nice blue color. A well preserved, rare Scyphocrinites elegans crinoid holdfast from Morocco. The crinoid stem attached to these floating holdfasts. The Scyphocrinites crinoids were floating crinoids and their holdfast was actually an air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx. This holdfast is bulbous with a fantastic detail. A peg stand is included as in the photos. These crinoid holdfasts make excellent fantastic display pieces.
