A Top Quality Araucarioxylon arizonicum, petrified wood bookends from Williams, Arizona. This petrified wood is from the Chinle Fm. and is Triassic age (210 MYA). A natural fossil wood section relaced by silica with rainbow colors. These beautiful bookends are 3" thick and felt lined lined inner face and bottom. They are also quite heavy at 10lbs+ each. A Top Quality, 4-1/2" Classic Peruvian Early Megalodon tooth. Our 2nd February 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible tan colored crown with an excellent tan bourlette. Highest quality enamel. The bourlette is excellent and essentially complete. The serrations are extra large and razor sharp with an excellent tip serration. The root is an excellent reddish brown color and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Ocucate area of Peru (Miocene age). Note -  the "root ears"on the root, root wing grooves, the exceptionally large serrations, and Chubutensis-like humps at the base of the serrations - all Miocene traits.
