The Echinoid Display Collection. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Clypeaster trevisani sea urchin from Tropea, Calabria, Italy. A very tall urchin at 2-1/4". This is a Miocene age sea urchin (Helvetian Fm. - 20 MYA). Excellent preservation.  Authenticity guaranteed. An excellent collector specimen from a special collection of echinoids. A TOP QUALITY Kosmoceras sp. and Quenstedticeras lamberti ammonites on matrix from the Saratov region of Russia. Incredible pyrite replaced ammonites. A TOP QUALITY Nanotyrannus lancensis premaxillary tooth from the western US. The premaxillary teeth were the front teeth, have a "D" shaped base, and were not large. Most Nano premaxillary teeth are non-serrate. This tooth measures 5/8" (straight line). The enamel is excellent quality. No cracks. No repair or restoration. A TOP QUALITY very rare classic Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Lateral tooth. The crown has sharp cutting edges. Excellent tan color with a light tan root and bourlette. The root is ~5/8" thick and shows typical hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Yorktown Formation (Pliocene age).
