A LARGE, Top Quality Hexanchus griseus tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. Fantastic blue color with a red root. This is complete lower jaw tooth from a large shark. Superb preservation and color. A natural Hoploscaphites nebrascensis ammonite with excellent preservation of the shell material. The ammonite shell has some iridescence. This ammonite species exhibits big ribs with multiple rows of tubercles (nodes). This specimen is sits in an original Pierre Shale nodule with a flat base for a great display. The end is filled with calcite crystals! This ammonite is from the upper Cretaceous, Pierre Shale Fm. of So. Dakota. Authenticity guaranteed. A fantastic display piece.
