An EXTRA LARGE TOP QUALITY very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. A March Fossil of the Month. Lateral tooth. The crown has sharp cutting edges. Excellent BLUE color with a tan root and bourlette. The root is ~11/16" thick and shows small hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Yorktown Formation (Pliocene age). A rare TOP QUALITY, Great White shark transition tooth, Carcharodon hubbelli. An upper jaw anterior tooth. This C. hubbelli tooth has medium to small serrations at the base of the cutting edge that disappear towards the tip.
