An ultra rare, top quality 5-3/4" Sharktooth Hill Megalodon tooth found in the Round Mountain Silt near Bakersfield, California. A location that produces very few Megalodon teeth and one of the toughest Megs to locate. This tooth was found in the Ernst West quarry. An October Fossil of the Month.  This Megalodon tooth has the highest quality enamel with a great Blue & Tan color. The bourlette is a brown color and nearly complete. The root is nicely articulated and complete. The serrations are complete with a good tip serration - incredible serrations for a large Sharktooth Hill Meg tooth! This is a middle Miocene Meg. Note - the grooves on the root ends and the small root "ears" at the top of the root - a Miocene Meg tooth feature!  Note - a 3/8" enamel section pooped off and was reattached on the right side (1/2" from the root). A rare, Top Quality ~5" CLASSIC Chile Megalodon tooth from the sand layer, Bahia Inglesa Fm., Caldera area, Chile. A March Fossil of the Month. An excellent light tan colored crown with no enamel peel. Good quality enamel. The bourlette has a nice mahogany brown color and is 100% complete. The serrations are sharp with some damage. The root is excellent tan color and extra wide with a small sliver of damage on the side of the root. Good "eye appeal". Great symmetry. No repair or restoration. An ultra rare, HIGH QUALITY Red Site Otodus (Carcharocles) megalodon tooth from the Meherrin River, North Carolina. This Meg is an upper jaw tooth from the Meherrin River copper-red site. NC009 has good copper red color. The enamel is the good quality. The serrations are sharp including the tip. Bourlette is dark brown and near complete. The root has some damage. A Miocene Meg tooth.
