A natural Hoploscaphites brevis ammonite with great preservation of the shell material. The ammonite shell exhibits excellent natural iridescence. This specimen is sits in an original Pierre Shale with a flat base for a great display. The base is a large baculite segment. This ammonite is from the upper Cretaceous, Pierre Shale Fm. of So. A rare Mako shark tooth from Sumatra, Indonesia. These teeth appear to be juvenile Isurus desori teeth (narrow crown) and are scarce in the Sumatran deposit. They were deposited in the Telisa formation - a shallow marine environment during the middle Miocene (approx. 15 million years ago.) A very unique collector's tooth. D054 is the lower jaw tooth on the right. Authenticity guaranteed.
