A Top Quality, Carcharodon hastalis,  Mako shark tooth (upper jaw tooth) from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Note - This tooth has short pathologic ribs in the enamel. Possibly an attempt to create serrations. There have been some C. hubellii GW transition teeth found in the mine.  This tooth has a rich tan crown and a light tan colored root. Excellent colors!  Razor sharp cutting edge. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. It is a Pliocene tooth from the Yorktown Fm. An excellent collector's tooth. A Top Quality Palmoxylon sp. - Petrified Palm slice from Sumatra, Indonesia. This petrified palm is Oligocene age (30 MYA). One side is polished and the other side is sanded. The interior is highly vascular with unqiue pores and channels that have been silicified into agate. Trunk slice thickness is 1/2" and makes a great display.
