A TOP QUALITY shark vertebra from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Exceptional condition and preservation. Incredibly defined ventral holes. This vertebara is a septate design and resembles a vertebra from the Isurus hastalis (Mako) shark. These vertebrae are rarely found and exceptional specimens are extremely difficult to obtain. An excellent pair of early Mako shark teeth,  I. praecursor, an Eocene age Mako. Very nice color. These very difficult teeth to find in the limestone quarries. Found in the Castle Hayne Fm., Castle Hayne, NC.
