An ultra rare, Top Quality Parotodus species tooth from the Ica region of Peru. A July Fossil of the Month.  Highest quality enamel. An excellent brown colored crown with razor sharp edges. The undescribed species is a leaf from the Ginseng plant from the Eocene age (48 MYA) in the ancient Lake Unita deposit. This piece exhibits exceptional preservation and excellent color. Lepidodendron, a Lycopod or "fern-like" tree.  Very ornate bark pattern. Exquisite detail and preservation. The shale matrix is a very nice color. This specimen comes from the coal bearing region of the Upper Silesia Basin, Czerwionka, Poland. They are approx. 315 MM years old.
