An ultra rare, LARGE Top Quality Edestus heinrichi shark whorl with 7 big crowns, from Herrin, Illinois. An October Fossil of the Month. This is a Paleozoic shark that lived in swamps that our now underground coal deposits. Excellent preservation and serrations. This whorl is incredible teeth detail - the first 5 crowns are all natural and the the last two have some top repair. One of the finest whorls that I have had. The Edestus shark would have an upper and lower tooth whorl that are vertically opposed. Research showed that they could use their opposing teeth in a scissor-like motion to cut prey. It is the first animal to cut vertically. A very strange looking and unique acting shark. Shark recreation image is credited to Julio Lacerdo. These rare teeth are Pennsylvanian age from Illinois. Note - Two crown tips were professionally retored. Authenticity guaranteed. An EXTRA LARGE, very rare Desmostylus tooth from Sharktooth Hill with a large root structure! The extra large chewing surface is incredibly preserved. This is an incredibly sized, complete tooth.  Excellent preservation and gorgeous color. Museum Quality specimen!

An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY, classic Lee Creek Chubutensis tooth (predecessor of Megalodon) - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. Another December 2017 Fossil fo the Month.This Chubutensis has an incredible light tan and blue colored crown. The bourlette is great light tan color and complete. Highest quality enamel with a no hydration cracks. Exceptional color! The serrations are razor sharp and perfect with a needle-like tip serration. The root is an excellent tan color and absolutely complete. This Chubutensis was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). NO repair! Authenticity guaranteeed. A TOP QUALITY, LARGE Araucaria mirabilis pine cone limb section from Argentina. This limb section is nicely articulated and demonstrates the excellent preservation that is present with the cones. An Extra LARGE, Top Quality Globidens aegyptiacus  tooth from the Khouribga Basin (phosphate sedimentary basin) in Morocco. This is a specialized shelling crushing marine mosasaur that is Cretaceous in age. Nicely articulated and well preserved. Note – this is a rare anterior (front) tooth with the conical shape. Authenticity guaranteed. Perfect tooth!

An ultra rare Top Quality Stegoceras validum dome (frontoparietal skull bone) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. An April Fossil of the Month. Stegoceras is a smaller sized pachycephalosaurid dinosaur, and like Pachycephalosaurus, it is a dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. This is excellent quality juvenile dome with good color / patina. No cracks or restoration. There is a small sheer on the left side that occured prior to fossilization since it has the natural patina. Otherwise a complete dome. An ultra rare Stegoceras dome!  Legally collected on private land in the Judith River Fm., Hill Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Stegoceras dome. Comes with a Riker display case. An EXTRA LARGE TOP QUALITY very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. A March Fossil of the Month. Lateral tooth. The crown has sharp cutting edges. Excellent BLUE color with a brown root and bourlette. The root is ~3/4" thick and shows typical hydration cracks. This Parotodus tooth was found in the Yorktown Formation (Pliocene age). An ultra rare Big, Top Quality Tyrannosaurus rex tooth from a large adult Rex. A July 2020 Fossil of the Month. This stocky Rex crown measures 3-5/8" (straight line) and is thick for its size (1-1/4"). The enamel is highest quality. Great rich dark chocolate brown and black color. Excellent serrations on the anterior and posterior serrations. Note - There is no wear facet at the tip and this tooth is serrated to the tip (a recently erupted BIG tooth - rare). One partial hydration crack which was stabilized. No breaks. No repair or restoration. A 100% natural tooth! Fantastic overall condition with incredible serrations for a large Rex tooth.
