This species is much more rare than the Priscacara (Cockerellites) liops and exhibits larger size, larger fins, and teeth. An October Fossil of the Month. An excellent pair of early Mako shark teeth,  I. praecursor, an Eocene age Mako.  Very nice color. These very difficult teeth to find in the limestone quarries. Found in the Castle Hayne Fm., Castle Hayne, NC.

An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Great White shark transition tooth - upper jaw anterior tooth from Chile. Also note that this is an ultra rare Carcharodon hubbelli with full serrations at the base of the cutting edge that transition to fine serrations at mid crown and disappear towards the tip. This tooth has a rich tan colored crown and a rust red root.
