A Leptopius duponti - fossil Weevil cocoon from Eyre Pennisula, South Australia. They are known as "pixie clogs". These cacoons were spun by the weevils in their pupae stage to protect them during metamorphosis into adult beetles. Excellent preservation. Note - 1-5/16" thick. This is a late Pleistocene - Holocene trace fossil. A unique display piece!

A Top Quality Sixgill Cow shark (Hexanchus gigas) - an lower jaw shark tooth from Kallo, Antwerp, Belgium. Pliocene age from the Kattendijk Formation. Great color. An EXTRA LARGE TOP QUALITY, very rare Basilosaurus cetoides, an Archaeocete whale tooth found in the Suwanee River, Suwanee Co., Florida. An excellent canine tooth (see photo for tooth positions). A July Fossil of the Month. An excellent brown colored crown and root. Nicely articulated. Note - enamel tip shows a wear pattern on crown. Whales do not shed their teeth like the sharks so there teeth will wear with age. An EXTRA LARGE, TOP QUALITY, classic Lee Creek Chubutensis tooth (predecessor of Megalodon) - upper jaw ANTERIOR tooth. Another December 2017 Fossil fo the Month.This Chubutensis has an incredible light tan and blue colored crown. The bourlette is great light tan color and complete. Highest quality enamel with a no hydration cracks. Exceptional color! The serrations are razor sharp and perfect with a needle-like tip serration. The root is an excellent tan color and absolutely complete. This Chubutensis was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA). NO repair! Authenticity guaranteeed. A LARGE Top Quality, Rare Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis spike from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Excellent articulation. This is a large neck spike with deep blood grooves. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by these spikes and nodes. These spikes and nodes were part of the skull. This spike has excellent color / patina. It is a complete specimen with no cracks or breaks. Legally collected on private land in the Hell Creek Fm., Powder River Co., Montana. An excellent collector's quality Pachychephalosaurus spike. You don't see these skull pieces very often. No repair or restoration. Authenticity guaranteed. My largest Pachy  neck spike.

A Very Rare, Quality Protoheptranchias lowei lower jaw tooth from Hornby Island, British Columbia, Canada. This is a new genius from the Late Cretaceous deep water Northumberland Formation deposit. A unique species of Hexanchiforme shark. The crown is incomplete with 4 cusplets  and the root is incomplete (partial tooth).  High quality enamel. No repair.
