An EXTRA LARGE TOP QUALITY, Metasequoia dakotensis cone from Montana. These "dinosaur age" pine cones are found in the Hell Creek Formation of Dawson Co., Montana. Two very nicely preserved Scyphocrinites elegans crinoids from Alnif, Morocco. The Scyphocrinites crinoid was a floating variety which was attached to a holdfast air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx ("flower"). These crinoids have a bulbous calyx with incredible detail. The upper crinoid has a stem section of 2-1/2". These crinoids make fantastic display pieces. Matrix size: 12" x 9". An incredible multi-specimen example on a reasonably sized piece of matrix.
