A Top Quality Chilean Hexanchus griseus tooth from the Caldera Basin of Chile. This is an upper jaw parasymphyseal tooth with a single primary cusp. Excellent preservation and fantastic color. This is an incredible Pennsylvanian age sea urchin plate (280 MYA). Exceptional preservation. Note - all spines are associated and found attached. The PERFECT, very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth. An April 2019 Fossil of the Month. Lateral tooth. The crown has extremely sharp cutting edges. Exceptional light tan & blue color and preservation. An incredible wide bourlette. The root is ~5/8" thick and shows few small hydration cracks! Note- grooves on the sides of the root lobes - a Miocene tooth trait. One of the finest LC lateral Parotodus teeth that I have seen. This incredible Parotodus was found in the Pungo River Formation (Miocene age).
