This species is much more rare than the Priscacara (Cockerellites) liops and exhibits larger size, larger fins, and teeth. An October Fossil of the Month. This piece is from the 18 Inch Layer which is extremely hard and difficult to prepare. It also provides the most detailed, highly preserved fossils. Exceptional preservation and preparation. A Top Quality Cretoxyrhina mantelli, an extinct Mackerel (Odontid) shark tooth from Travis Co., Texas. An excellent example of this Late Cretaceous South Bosque Shale (Eagle Ford) Fm. shark. A lateral tooth with two small side cusps. Authenticity guaranteed. Near perfect tooth.

A GEM, 6" Classic Lee Creek Megalodon tooth - ANTERIOR tooth. Our March 2017 Fossil of the Month. This Megalodon has an incredible light golden tan colored crown with an exceptional white bourlette and mostly complete. Highest quality enamel. Exceptional golden tan color! The bourlette is huge and near perfect. The serrations are razor sharp with an exceptional tip serration. Nearly PERFECT serrations (2-3 serrations damaged near the base  - all serrations are razor sharp. Exceptional serrations for a really big Meg! The root is an excellent white color with few no hydration cracks and complete. This Megalodon was found in the Pungo River Formation, Lee Creek mine, NC (Miocene age = 14.5 MYA).
