A TOP QUALITY shark vertebra from the Lee Creek mine, Aurora, No. Carolina. Exceptional condition and preservation. Incredibly defined ventral holes. This vertebara is a septate design and resembles a vertebra from the Isurus hastalis (Mako) shark. These vertebrae are rarely found and exceptional specimens are extremely difficult to obtain. An EXTRA LARGE, Top Quality Ankylosaurus osteoderm (bony armor plate) from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. A June Fossil of the Month. Ankylosaurus magniventris was the largest Ankylosaur which grew to 30 feet and 17000 pounds, and a body covered with this bony armor. A complete body osteoderm plate from an adult Ankylosaurus. The bone quality is exceptional with excellent color and patina. Well preserved vascular channels. This osteoderm also has a high ridge on one side. A couple of very small hydrations cracks only. Small well preserved egg shell pieces from Pyroraptor olympius, a Dromaeosaurid raptor dinosaur, from southern France. This small raptor whose name means "fire thief". A very unique shell design with large dimples. These egg shell pieces are typical size for these small eggs with a shell thickness of 1/32"+.
