An October Fossil of the Month.  The Phareodus was a carnivorous fish with large pointed teeth and a long pectoral fin. A LARGE, TOP QUALITY serrated Nanotyrannus lancensis premaxillary tooth from the western US. The premaxillary teeth were the front teeth, have a "D" shaped base, and were not large. Most Nano premaxillary teeth are non-serrate. This Nano has small serrations on one side - rare.  This premaxillary (front) tooth measures 1" (straight line).  The enamel is excellent quality. A rare, Top Quality Hadrosaur tooth from the late Cretaceous of No. Carolina. Hadrosaurs are known as "duck-bill" dinosaurs found in North America. The enamel is very good quality with excellent color / patina. A great partial crown with serrations. No repair or restoration.
