A 2nd May 2016 Fossil of the Month is a GEM light brown colored "Picture" Megalodon - PRINCIPAL ANTERIOR tooth. Fantastic colors - a mix of light brown, reddish brown, some blue and charcoal highlights. Highest quality enamel - glass-like surface with no hydration cracks. The finest enamel preservation - very rare! A very nice deep brown bourlette - 100% complete. Razor sharp serrations including an excellent tip serration. The root is incredible - a medium brown, nicely articulated, and complete with no hydration cracks on the display side. One of the finest preserved Megalodon teeth that I have seen. A well preserved, rare Scyphocrinites elegans crinoid holdfast from Morocco. The crinoid stem attached to these floating holdfasts. The Scyphocrinites crinoids were floating crinoids and their holdfast was actually an air bladder that supported multiple stems and calyx. This holdfast is bulbous with a fantastic detail. A peg stand is included as in the photos. These crinoid holdfasts make excellent fantastic display pieces. A rare COLORFUL pair of Top Quality Great White shark teeth - a upper jaw anterior tooth and a lower jaw tooth from Chile. An upper and lower jaw tooth naturally trapped in time in a vug within the Chilean phosphorite matrix! These teeth have Tan & Red colored crowns, a distinct gum lines, and a brown roots. Fantastic color!  Highest quality enamel. Serrations are large with a great tip serration. Excellent preservation - note nutrient hole on root. No repair or restoration.
