The PERFECT, very rare Parotodus benedeni tooth. An April 2019 Fossil of the Month. Lateral tooth. The crown has extremely sharp cutting edges. Exceptional light tan & blue color and preservation. An incredible wide bourlette. The root is ~5/8" thick and shows few small hydration cracks! Note- grooves on the sides of the root lobes - a Miocene tooth trait. One of the finest LC lateral Parotodus teeth that I have seen. This incredible Parotodus was found in the Pungo River Formation (Miocene age). A Top Quality Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis rooted tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America. Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. The enamel is excellent quality with great color / patina. Typical wear faucet from grinding on opposing teeth. Note - high center ridge and crown assymetry (see Pachy maxillary teeth differentiation discussion below). A LARGE Ultra Rare, Top Quality Pachychephalosaurus wyomingensis premaxillary tooth from the late Cretaceous of northern North America.  This tooth is often referred to as the Pachy "Fang". There are posterior serrations present on this tooth. There is also a small wear facet on the tip (quite common). Pachychephalosaurus is the dinosaur which is famous for its large domed head surrounded by spikes. The enamel is excellent quality with great color and patina.
